What is the difference between the two playpens?
Size. The 50" x 50" square fits most living rooms; the 50" x 74" long version gives two or three babies room to play side by side. Both are 27" tall.
Is it a pop-up playpen?
No. The poles screw into each other, so the frame stays rigid when a toddler pushes on it. Setup takes about 10 to 15 minutes.
Is a floor mat included?
No mat is included. On wood or tile floors we suggest a foam mat cut to the playpen size.
How to choose a baby playpen size
Measure the floor first. A 50" x 50" play yard needs a clear square a little over four feet on each side, which most living rooms can spare. The 50" x 74" version is about six feet long and suits families with twins, a baby and an older sibling, or a parent who wants a toddler to walk laps along the rail.
Then look at the frame. Many play yards fold open in seconds, which also means they can fold when leaned on.
